How to Apply

Admission is open to BECE graduates and to applicants pursuing Competency-Based Training and National Proficiency programmes. Training is free under the Government of Ghana’s Free TVET Programme. Step-by-step application documents and intake windows will be published here once confirmed by the Institute. Until then, please contact the Principal’s Office for current admissions guidance.

Admissions Requirements

1. National Certificate (BECE)
Applicants must have sat for and obtained results in the B.E.C.E. conducted by WAEC.
B.E.C.E. aggregate not more than 38 for the chosen programme.
Minimum age: fourteen (14) years or above.
2. CBT / National Proficiency
Open to applicants ready to pursue CBT, NP I, or NP II.
Entry to NP I normally requires no formal certificate.
Accessible bridge for learners with minimal or no formal education background.
3. Character & Conduct
Applicants must demonstrate good character and conduct.
Falsification of documents or information may lead to withdrawal of admission.
The same expectations apply across BECE and CBT/NP pathways.
4. Medical Fitness & NHIS
Learners may be required to undergo a medical examination and present a medical fitness report upon admission.
Learners are encouraged to possess a valid NHIS card before reporting to school.
Age (14+), conduct, medical, and NHIS expectations apply to CBT/NP pathways.
5. Merit & Vacancies
Admission is offered based on merit, programme requirements, and available vacancies.
The Institute may withdraw admission if information provided is false or misleading.

6. Fees (Free TVET)
Training is free under the Government of Ghana’s Free TVET Programme.
Ancillary costs (if any) will be published here once confirmed by the Institute.

Yes. Programmes run under the Government of Ghana Free TVET Programme.

Applicants must have sat for B.E.C.E., obtain the required aggregate for their chosen programme (aggregate not more than 38), and be at least 14 years of age.

CBT, National Proficiency I, and National Proficiency II pathways are open to interested applicants. Entry to NP I normally requires no formal certificate.

Learners may be required to undergo a medical examination and present a medical fitness report upon admission. Learners are encouraged to possess a valid NHIS card before reporting to school.
